A long-running dispute between tenants on Salisbury Street turned violent Tuesday evening, leaving two people stabbed, three hospitalized and a dog injured, according to New Bedford Police.
Officers responded to the residence at about 5 p.m. on July 14 after receiving reports of a large fight involving multiple people.
When police arrived, they found several individuals with injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening. Two people had suffered stab wounds, and three were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Police said a dog also sustained a facial injury during the altercation.
The investigation determined the violence stemmed from an ongoing dispute between tenants living at the residence.
Police arrested Keven Decarvalho, 32, charging him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of assault and battery.
Chad Saddler, 32, was also arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
In addition, Tatyana Reyes, 30, and a juvenile were issued summonses to appear in court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
