There’s something strange in the neighborhood, and this time it has a shiny badge and a flashing blue light!
The Fall River Police Department is trading standard patrol duties for some high-spirited Halloween fun, launching an official Ghostbusters Cruiser Hunt across the city. Kids and families are invited to join in on the spooky excitement for a chance to win a special Halloween prize bag.
How to Join the Hunt
If you’re ready to track down the paranormal patrol car, participating is as easy as 1-2-3:
- Find It: Keep your eyes peeled for the special Ghostbusters-themed police cruiser while it’s out on regular patrol across Fall River between Wednesday, October 28, and Friday, October 30, 2026. (Friendly reminder: The cruiser is still on active duty, so make sure to approach only when an officer is available and it’s safe!)
- Snap It: Take a fun photo of your child posing with the cruiser.
- Send It: Submit the photo directly to the Fall River Police Department via Facebook Messenger by Midnight on Friday, October 30. No public posting required!
What You Could Win
All eligible entries submitted by the deadline will be entered into a random drawing. The FRPD will select five lucky winners under the age of 16 to receive an exclusive Halloween prize bag.
It’s a fantastic way for local law enforcement to connect with the community through a little seasonal magic. So charge up your proton packs (or at least your smartphone cameras), keep your eyes on the streets, and remember: We ain’t afraid of no ghosts!
