Westport firefighters responded to a lobster boat fire at the Town docks late last night.
Firefighters received a call at 11:19 p.m. reporting flames in the area of the Harbor Master shack. Upon arrival, crews found the wheelhouse of a lobster boat well involved in fire.
The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to the vessel. There was no damage to surrounding boats or the dock, and no discharge into the river was reported.

The fire is not considered suspicious and remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Fire Investigation Unit.
