The Fall River Police Department was honored to be present for the 20th Anniversary Ceremony of the Gates of the City, a memorable celebration that brought together community leaders and distinguished representatives from Portugal, the Azores, Canada, and the United States.
Among the distinguished guests were the President of the Government of the Azores, Dr. José Manuel Bolieiro, and former President of the Portuguese Republic, Dr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
Events like this serve as a meaningful reminder of the rich history, diversity, and cultural heritage that make Fall River such a special community. We are proud to recognize and celebrate the strong Portuguese and Azorean heritage that has been an important part of the fabric of our city for generations.
