Dartmouth Mall will implement a new Parental Supervision Policy (PSP) beginning Friday, July 3, 2026, as part of its ongoing commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly shopping environment for all guests.
Under the new policy, all visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 21 years old on Fridays and Saturdays beginning at 5:00 p.m., as well as during any other times the policy is activated by mall management.
The policy applies throughout the entire Dartmouth Mall property, including interior common areas, parking lots, parking garages, sidewalks, and corridors leading into the mall. Businesses with exterior-only entrances are exempt from the policy.
Key guidelines of the Parental Supervision Policy include:
- Mall Security will begin monitoring entrances at 5:00 p.m. every Friday and Saturday.
- Guests under 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian after 5:00 p.m. will be required to leave the property or be joined by an eligible adult.
- One parent or legal guardian (age 21 or older) may accompany all of their own children. A parent or guardian may also accompany up to four additional youths, provided at least one of the minors is their own child.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the conduct of the minors they accompany.
- Proof of age may be requested if the age of a youth or accompanying adult cannot be readily determined. Individuals unable to provide acceptable identification may be asked to leave the property.
- Acceptable identification includes a photo ID issued by a state agency, school, or employer that includes the individual’s date of birth.
- Guests using public transportation or other transportation services should plan accordingly to ensure compliance with the policy.
- Individuals who refuse to comply with the Parental Supervision Policy or Dartmouth Mall’s Code of Conduct after being directed to leave by Mall Security may be subject to trespassing enforcement.
- Employees under the age of 18 are exempt while traveling directly to and from their place of employment. Proof of employment may be required, and employees must leave the mall promptly following their shift if it ends while the policy is in effect.
- Policy information will be posted at all mall entrances.

Mall management reserves the right to modify the dates and times the Parental Supervision Policy is in effect as needed.
