The Buttonwood Park Zoo is thrilled to announce some exciting news—it’s a boy!
On May 12, Sylvie, their Canada lynx, welcomed a beautiful male kitten. Today, their animal care team conducted his first health examination, and we’re delighted to report that he received an excellent bill of health.
Now that we’ve confirmed he’s a boy, we’re narrowing down our list of names and can’t wait to share his official name with you soon!
Weighing approximately 3.5 pounds, this handsome youngster is the second successful Canada lynx litter born at Buttonwood Park Zoo. His older siblings, Cad Bane and Aurra Sing, have both grown up and are now helping support the future of their species by starting families of their own at zoos in Minnesota and Seattle. His mom is keeping a close eye on things!
