Fall River Medic 3 is currently operating on scene of a working structure fire at 102 Long Highway in Little Compton, Rhode Island.
The fire broke out around 10:00 a.m. this morning, prompting a significant mutual aid response from departments across the region.
Westport Tanker 1, Engine 1, Chief 1, and Chief 2 are currently providing mutual aid to the Town of Little Compton, along with several surrounding communities, as firefighters battle the working garage fire.
In addition to Little Compton Fire and Fall River Emergency Medical Services (FREMS), nine additional fire departments and the Providence Canteen are on scene assisting with the operation.
A Tanker Task Force has also been requested as firefighters work to establish and maintain the necessary water supply for the operation.
🤝 Mutual aid is a vital part of our regional emergency response system. When a community faces a major incident, neighboring departments are ready to send personnel, apparatus, equipment, and other resources to help. Likewise, local departments stand ready to assist surrounding communities when they need additional support.
We thank all of the firefighters, EMS personnel, chiefs, dispatchers, and support agencies responding to this incident. Stay safe, everyone! 🚒❤️
