Summer is here, the forecast is cooperating, and it’s finally time to kick off the 2026 Summer Sound Series!
Join us tonight from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Lower Union Street Stage (between Route 18 and North Water Street) for an evening of live music, great energy, and downtown New Bedford fun.
Headlining the first concert of the season are The NB Rude Boys, an electrifying band known for their infectious mix of ska, reggae, rocksteady, and punk rock. They’ll be joined by special guests The Secret City All Stars, featuring Lori Gomes (vocals), Walt Bostonian (trombone), John Collins (saxophone), Zachary Paul of Concrete Beach (guitar), Steven Pimental of The X-Tones and The Jesse Ahern & The Roots Rock Rebels Band (drums), and Andy Perrone of The O’Toole’s (vocals).
Parking is easy and free! The Elm Street and Zeiterion garages will be open at no charge during the concert, and free parking is also available at the New Bedford YMCA beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The Summer Sound Series is organized by AHA! New Bedford and presented by Mayor Jon Mitchell. Bring your friends, grab a spot downtown, and help celebrate the start of another great season of free live music!
