Approximately one hour after the alleged incident occurred, the reporting party arrived at the Fall River Police Department to report an altercation involving a machete. At the time the report was made, officers noted that the individual appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
Due to the serious nature of the allegation, officers immediately conducted a thorough investigation. After obtaining an initial statement, officers responded to the area of Remington Avenue, where the incident was reported to have taken place. Investigators interviewed multiple witnesses and gathered additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the complaint.
