On Tuesday evening, members of the New Bedford Fire Department responded to a reported bathroom fire on the second floor of a residence located at 9 Cleveland Street.
Upon arrival, crews observed smoke coming from the second floor. Engine 6 quickly made entry, located the fire, and extinguished it, preventing further damage to the home.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Seven residents have been displaced and are receiving assistance.

Responding units included Engine 6, Engine 8, Engine 7, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Ladder 3, Unit 1, Unit 2, Inspector 1, and Inspector 5.
