Fall River Police, Fire and EMS responded Thursday night to a serious crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle at a busy intersection.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., dispatchers received a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian near the intersection of Brayton Avenue and Rodman Street.
Dashcam footage shared by Luisito Quizhpi appears to show a person riding what appears to be an electric scooter or skateboard entering the intersection against a red traffic signal and traveling in the roadway. The footage indicates the vehicle involved had a green light at the time of the collision and is not at fault.
The impact sent the pedestrian airborne before they landed in the roadway.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and the pedestrian was evaluated for injuries. Fortunately, the injuries reported at the scene appeared to be non-life-threatening. A woman commenting on Facebook remarked that he was alive, but did not elaborate further.
The crash remains under investigation, and additional details have not yet been released.
