
At approximately 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 1447 Blue Hill Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the area of 1439 Blue Hill Avenue. Officers subsequently located two additional adult victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the area of 1460 Blue Hill Avenue. One of those victims was pronounced deceased at the scene. The remaining three victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
A fifth adult victim later self-presented to a hospital outside the City of Boston with an apparent gunshot wound and was subsequently transferred to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
