Authorities are investigating after a 56-year-old man was killed in a workplace accident involving a tractor-trailer at a warehouse facility in Wareham on Wednesday morning, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
Wareham police responded to the Chatham Village Foods warehouse at approximately 9:43 a.m. following reports of an injured worker.
When officers arrived, they found the man pinned behind a loading dock by a tractor-trailer. He had sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:54 a.m.
The Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Section, Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Section are assisting in the investigation.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
