Timofey Gavrilyuk, a 29-year-old non-verbal autistic man, remains missing after disappearing on the evening of Wednesday, September 25. Because Timofey is non-verbal, he may not call out for help or respond to his name, making public assistance and vigilant checking of property cameras critical.
Search Operations & Multi-Agency Response
Since the initial report on September 25, an extensive, multi-agency effort has systematically searched the primary search zone. Operations have utilized ground officers, patrol K9s, bloodhounds, cadaver dogs, ATVs, UTVs, aerial drones, underwater drones, and state helicopters.
Participating agencies and search organizations include:
- Westfield Police Department and Westfield Fire Department
- Massachusetts State Police & MSP Air Wing / K9 units
- Hampden County Sheriff’s Office & Southwick Police Department
- DCR Park Rangers & Mass Air National Guard
- Western Mass Technical Rescue Team
- Berkshire County Search and Rescue and multiple trained civilian teams
A specialized, trained civilian search and rescue team from Berkshire County is conducting operations in the primary area. This marks the conclusion of the initial large-scale search in the immediate area unless new information develops, though targeted, smaller-scale searches in secondary areas will continue over the coming weeks.
Current Status & How You Can Help
Detectives have thoroughly reviewed area surveillance footage and followed up on every tip received. At this time, there have been no confirmed sightings of Timofey since he was last seen, and no leads have yielded results. While there is no evidence of foul play, detectives are keeping all possibilities open until he is found.
