Listen, this sweet girl has every reason in the world to be angry, but she chooses pure love instead. Our featured Forever Paws Pet of the week is made possible by the Choco Latte Cafe, right here in Fall River.
When Terah first arrived at Forever Paws Animal Shelter, her condition was heartbreaking. Her skin was raw, bloody, and inflamed, with severe fur loss across her body, heavy callouses on her pressure points, and ear infections so severe her canals were nearly swollen shut. Yet, during her very first veterinary exam, despite all her discomfort, she simply waddled over and buried her face in a staff member’s lap.
Now, on her road to recovery, Terah is already feeling and looking a hundred times better. At a little over 8 years old and 60 lbs, she possesses a quiet devotion that will break your heart and heal it all at once. She asks for very little in life—just gentle belly rubs, a warm patch of grass to lie in, leisurely walks, and someone to sweet-talk her.
Ideal Home & Care Needs:
- Personality: Gentle, affectionate, and deeply trusting with people.
- Other Pets: Best suited as the only dog in the home (she can be uncertain around fast-approaching dogs). Untested with cats.
- Children: Prefers a home with older children, though exceptions may be made for experienced families.
- Special Care: Requires a poultry-free diet and regular medicated baths to manage her chronic skin condition (both have already brought immense relief).
- Housing Requirement: Because Terah is a restricted breed, adopters must own their home or reside in a home owned by a family member.
After everything she’s been through, Terah just needs a soft, loving place to land.
