Local Mexican / fast casual food fans are losing a favorite spot soon, as the Qdoba Mexican Eats location inside the Southcoast MarketPlace is reportedly preparing to close its doors permanently.
According to reports circulating locally, including information shared on local Facebook groups, employees have indicated that the restaurant is slated to close on Friday, October 16th, at 5:00 PM. However, there has been no official corporate announcement from QDOBA regarding the shutdown yet. However we called the store this afternoon and spoke with an employee who confirmed the closure and directed us to visit the Wareham location, which I assume is the next closest one.
What We Know So Far
- Location: 544 William S. Canning Blvd., Suite A12, Fall River, MA (Visit Fall River Ma.)
- Expected Timeline: Closure reportedly expected tomorrow evening at 5:00 PM (Visit Fall River Ma.)
- History: The restaurant originally opened in February 2018, marking the end of an eight-year run at the marketplace (Visit Fall River Ma.).
As patrons await formal word from corporate management, locals with remaining reward points or those looking to grab one final burrito have a very short window left. If you have gift cards to redeem you will have to visit Wareham after Friday at 5pm.
