Are you ready for a companion who will love you with the intensity of a thousand suns? Look no further than Lovebug, a 4.5-year-old, 25-pound French bulldog currently looking for her forever home through Forever Paws Animal Shelter
As her foster family describes, Lovebug isn’t just a velcro dog—she’s a “superglue dog” (specifically, a DELO MONOPOX HT2860 dog, the world’s strongest recorded adhesive!). If she could climb inside your skin and live there, she would. Because she hates being left alone—expressing her disapproval with hilarious, Jurassic Park-level sound effects—she would thrive best in a home where someone is always around or works remotely.
A True Survivor
Lovebug’s journey hasn’t been easy. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was unable to walk due to Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), dragging herself around using only her front paws. But thanks to a dedicated stay at Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital, pain relief, and acupuncture, she is officially mobile again!
While her vet expects a full recovery, Lovebug will need a few easy lifestyle modifications to keep her safe and healthy moving forward:
- Keeping her weight down to protect her back.
- Limiting stairs around the house.
- Using ramps for getting on and off furniture.
Her Dream Home
Lovebug gets along wonderfully with other dogs, but the shelter hopes to place her as either an only dog or with another low-energy, older, or special-needs companion. Why? Because she loves to play so hard she might accidentally hurt herself trying to keep up with a high-energy zoomy pup! She would also likely do great with dog-friendly cats.
Adopt Lovebug!
The best part? Thanks to a generous sponsor, her adoption fee is $0 (You Pay Nothing)!
