A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 2 PM EDT this afternoon for southeastern Bristol County and south central Plymouth County as thunderstorms continue to produce torrential rainfall.

According to gauge reports, 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain has already fallen across the warned area, with additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches possible. Rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour are expected, creating an ongoing threat of flash flooding.

  • New Bedford

  • Dartmouth
  • Marion
  • Wareham
  • Fairhaven
  • Acushnet
  • Freetown
  • Mattapoisett
  • Rochester

Flooding may affect small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, underpasses, and other low-lying or poorly drained locations.
