An 8-year-old boy was injured Monday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Pearl Street in Attleboro, according to the Attleboro Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the area shortly after 1 p.m. following reports that a child had been hit by a vehicle. When first responders arrived, they found the boy suffering from injuries consistent with a motor vehicle crash.
The child was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene.
Attleboro police also responded and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further details about the incident were immediately available.
