Foxwoods Resort Casino has set a Guinness World Record after awarding a $440,000 jackpot during its annual Firecracker Bingo event on July 4—the largest payout ever for a single game of bingo at one venue.
More than 3,000 players packed the casino’s High Stakes Bingo Hall for a chance to win more than $1 million in prizes. One player, identified as Aaron P., claimed the record-breaking jackpot.
The new mark surpasses the previous Guinness World Record, set in 2025 by Buzz Bingo in London, where a player won approximately $136,000.
The event also celebrated 40 years of bingo at Foxwoods. Before expanding into a full-scale casino, Foxwoods opened as a high-stakes bingo hall in 1986 under the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, with bingo serving as the foundation for what would become one of the country’s largest resort casinos.
