
On Sunday, June 28, at approximately 6 p.m., Connecticut State Police arrested Emily Ferreira, 20, of Framingham, Massachusetts, following a traffic stop on Interstate 395 northbound in Montville.
According to state police, a trooper observed a Tesla traveling northbound at a high rate of speed and followed the vehicle for more than two miles. During the pursuit, the trooper observed the vehicle traveling at speeds exceeding 100 mph. State police said the trooper’s body-worn camera and cruiser dashboard camera recorded the Tesla reaching speeds of up to 120 mph before the vehicle was stopped.
Ferreira was charged with reckless driving, failure to comply with pass-on-right rules, and following too closely.
She was released after posting a $1,000 bond, according to Connecticut State Police.
