Fans of the Liberal Club have reason to celebrate. Vic’s Harborside, the popular restaurant operated by Victor and Judy Gomes with locations in Bristol and Newport, Rhode Island, has announced that it will take over the restaurant operations at the Liberal Club in Fall River.
Known for its highly rated menu, generous portions, and affordable prices, Vic’s Harborside has built a strong reputation across Rhode Island. The expansion into Fall River marks the restaurant’s newest venture as the Gomes family looks to continue the Liberal Club’s long-standing tradition of quality dining.
In a Facebook announcement, Victor and Judy Gomes shared their excitement about the opportunity and their commitment to both employees and customers.
“We are humbled to announce that we will become the new restaurant operators. We’re on the clock, so to speak, and we have already begun reaching out to employees while also looking to bring in more hardworking, dedicated people. Change is never easy, and whatever combination of past and new employees will be there for opening day, rest assured we will have the customer’s best interests at heart, as has always been the case for Judy and me.
We’ve done this for a little bit, and I think we are up to the task. Over the last four years, we’ve spread the culinary gospel into Bristol and Newport and are excited for this opportunity in Fall River. We do not want to waste any valuable time and will be setting up interviews promptly upon receiving information from applicants. Line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and waitstaff are encouraged to apply today.
Again, the success that has existed at the Liberal Club is what we will look to continue, but it definitely will take the right group of dedicated workers to make it happen.”
Vic’s Harborside is currently hiring for several positions, including line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and waitstaff, as preparations begin for the transition and eventual reopening under the new management.
