George Zakhary of Bellingham has claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Bonus Bucks” instant ticket game.

Zakhary opted for the cash payment and received a one-time lump sum of $650,000 before taxes. He said he plans to use his winnings to help fund his mother’s retirement.
The winning ticket was purchased at Hotshot, located at 60 South St. in Wrentham. As the retailer that sold the winning ticket, the store will receive a $10,000 bonus from the Massachusetts State Lottery.
