A 22-year-old Dartmouth man died following a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Old Fall River Road, according to authorities.
Dartmouth Police and EMS responded to the area of 899 Old Fall River Road** shortly after 4:30 p.m. on June 8, 2026, where they found a green Toyota Corolla off the roadway in a wooded area.
The vehicle was facing westbound in the eastbound lane and had struck a tree, sustaining severe damage to the passenger side.
The driver, a 23-year-old woman, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
First responders also found an unresponsive male passenger suffering from severe injuries. He was identified as Christopher Canario, 22, of Dartmouth. Canario was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police, and the Dartmouth Police Department.
No additional information has been released.
