The search continues in Worcester for Karen Solomon, who police say may be armed and dangerous, following the death of her husband, 57-year-old Kurt Solomon.
Kurt Solomon, a 31-year veteran of the Worcester Police Department, was found dead Tuesday morning inside his home on Wildwood Avenue.
Police spent hours searching in and around Coes Pond. Officers carrying long guns moved through the woods while search boats combed the water, with helicopters flying overhead.
Karen Solomon is the founder of First Help, a nonprofit that supports families who have lost law enforcement officers to suicide.
According to the organization, Solomon has worked extensively on issues surrounding officer suicide and currently serves on an FBI task force focused on suicide data collection.
