Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School has officially opened its admissions process for current eighth-grade students residing in Acushnet, Carver, Lakeville, Mattapoisett, and Rochester. Prospective students and their families are encouraged to submit their applications online through the Old Colony Application Portal
To help prospective students and families explore their options, Old Colony is hosting its Annual Open House. Additionally, the school provides weekly insight through informational Tuesday Morning Tours & Coffee sessions, running from November 17 through April, giving families an up-close look at vocational-technical education in action.
Why Vocational-Technical Education?
Highlighting the tangible benefits of technical training, school advocates note that vocational education provides a direct pathway to lucrative career opportunities. Some recent graduates are securing employment earning over six figures—often before their peers even graduate from traditional four-year colleges.
By combining hands-on technical training with rigorous academics, Old Colony aims to keep career options open and prepare students for success in the modern workforce.
