For more than two decades, Lieutenant Jack McCarthy has answered the call, protecting and serving the Randolph community as a dedicated firefighter. Now, the 20-year veteran of the Randolph Fire Department and member of Randolph Local 1268 faces the toughest fight of his career.
McCarthy recently suffered a rare type of stroke known as cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). After spending weeks in the intensive care unit, he is now beginning a grueling and extended road to recovery.
As McCarthy focuses on healing, he and his family—including his wife and three children—are confronting the immense financial strain that comes with prolonged medical treatment, rehabilitation, and significant time away from work.
In response, the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts (PFFM) Foundation is rallying members, locals, and community supporters to step up and ease the burden for one of their own.
Supporters looking to assist the McCarthy family during this challenging time can contribute directly through the PFFM Foundation Donation Page. Organizers emphasize that every contribution helps ease the family’s financial pressures, and sharing the fundraiser is equally valuable in ensuring McCarthy receives the community backing he has spent his career providing to others.
