An Abington mother was arraigned in court on Monday following a two-month investigation into suspected child abuse, according to Boston 25 News
Prosecutors stated that 34-year-old Jillian Timmons’ 2-month-old daughter suffered a brain bleed and facial bruising. Medical professionals testified that the severity of the infant’s injuries may leave her unable to walk or care for herself in the future.
The investigation was initiated in July after a staff member at South Shore Hospital contacted authorities. Timmons had her bail set at $20,000, was ordered to have no contact with the child, and is scheduled to return to court for a hearing on November 17.
