LACONIA, N.H. — Three people, including a Massachusetts man, were killed and a fourth person suffered life-threatening injuries after two motorcycles collided late Saturday night near a popular biker bar in Laconia, authorities said.
Laconia police responded to reports of a motorcycle crash on Route 3 near The Looney Bin Bar & Grill at approximately 11 p.m. Officers arrived to find two motorcycles heavily damaged and scattered debris across the roadway.
“There was a large debris field, and officers attempted to help several of the victims,” Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield said. “Upon arrival of EMS, three of them were pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The victims were identified as:
- Cameron Mosher, 28, of Dennis, Massachusetts
- Miles Collette, 32, of Gilford, New Hampshire
- Jeanine Fereshetian, 33, of Laconia, New Hampshire
A fourth victim, a woman whose identity has not been released, was flown to Concord Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Canfield described the collision as a “very violent crash” and said investigators believe the motorcycles may have been traveling in different directions when they collided.
Despite the crash occurring near The Looney Bin, Canfield emphasized that the bar had no involvement in the incident.
“The Looney Bin has no play in this,” Canfield said when asked where the victims had been coming from.
Authorities said there were no immediate indications that speed or alcohol played a role in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine exactly what led to the deadly collision.
