A New Chapter of Community Leadership, Connection, and Opportunity
The Fall River YMCA is excited to welcome Peter Walker as its new Executive Director, bringing to the organization a strong background in community engagement, entrepreneurship, workforce development, relationship building, and youth empowerment.
Walker is no stranger to the YMCA Southcoast community. Through his previous work as a community partner, he has had the opportunity to work alongside the Y and gain firsthand insight into its mission, its people, and the important role it plays throughout the community.
Now, as Executive Director of the Fall River YMCA, Walker is eager to deepen those connections and help build an even stronger future for the organization.
“I look forward to building relationships, listening to and learning from the community, and bringing together partners, volunteers, staff, families, and supporters in service of the YMCA mission,” Walker said.
His approach reflects the collaborative spirit that is at the heart of the YMCA. By engaging with the people and organizations that make Fall River strong, Walker hopes to create new opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships, and ensure the YMCA continues to be a welcoming place where children, families, and individuals can learn, grow, and thrive.
With experience spanning business, workforce development, community partnerships, and youth-focused initiatives, Walker brings a diverse perspective to his new role. His background in entrepreneurship and relationship building will also help him connect the YMCA with new partners and opportunities while building upon the strong foundation already in place.
The Fall River YMCA has long been an important community resource, providing programs and services that promote healthy living, youth development, connection, and community well-being. Walker’s leadership comes at an exciting time as the organization continues to look for new ways to meet the evolving needs of the people it serves.
Please join us in welcoming Peter Walker to the Fall River YMCA. We’re excited about the leadership, energy, and vision he brings to the organization—and look forward to the next chapter of the YMCA’s service to the Fall River community.
