The friends, family, and community of Pete and Lindsay Ginnetty have come together to support their family through an unexpected and incredibly difficult time — both now and in the months and years ahead.
On Sunday night, September 13, Pete was struck by a truck traveling at a high rate of speed while he was in a crosswalk. The accident resulted in significant multi-trauma injuries. We are profoundly grateful that Pete survived, but he remains hospitalized in Boston, where he faces multiple surgeries, extensive medical treatment, and a long road to recovery.
The road ahead for the Ginnetty family is uncertain and will undoubtedly bring new obstacles, challenges, and hardships. Our hope is that by coming together as a community, we can help ease some of that burden and allow Pete, Lindsay, and their two sons to focus on what matters most: Pete’s healing and recovery.
Pete and Lindsay have always been the people who show up for others — in their careers, in their community, and in their personal lives.
Pete is a United States Army veteran, devoted husband to Lindsay, loving father to their two sons, and a friend to so many. For years, he has given back to the community by coaching youth lacrosse and hockey.
Lindsay has spent many years supporting children and families across the Cape through her work as a social worker. Together, Pete and Lindsay have stepped up countless times for others during their moments of need. Now, it is our turn to surround them with that same love, kindness, and support.
We created this GoFundMe to help Pete and Lindsay focus on his recovery without the added burden of financial uncertainty. Donations will help with:
- Travel expenses to and from hospitals in Boston
- Daily living expenses to help keep life stable for Lindsay and the boys
