It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Firefighter Kyle Machado.
Before joining the Taunton Fire Department, Kyle proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. His commitment to service continued when he dedicated himself to protecting and serving the Taunton community as a firefighter. Kyle joined the Taunton Fire Department on April 13, 2026.
We extend our deepest condolences to Kyle’s family, loved ones, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that you keep Kyle and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
We mourn alongside our firefighters as they grieve the loss of one of their own. Kyle’s dedication to his country and his community will not be forgotten.
