FALL RIVER — Fall River police arrested five people with active warrants during a coordinated enforcement operation at a High Street residence, less than 24 hours after receiving complaints from neighborhood residents about activity at the property.
On August 9, members of the Fall River Police Department’s Community Action and Suppression Team (C.A.S.T.) conducted surveillance and enforcement efforts at 556 High Street. The operation resulted in the arrests of five individuals:
- Ashley Holodinski, 30
- Lijah Fortes, 29
- Roberto Pagan, 47
- David Fonseca, 51
- Tanisha Monteiro, 33
According to police, Pagan initially provided detectives with a false identity. He was later properly identified and found to have active warrants.
Fonseca, who was wanted on warrants related to cocaine trafficking, was located inside the residence and arrested without incident.
Police also highlighted the work of Officer Daniel Reis Jr. and Officer Nicholas Kennedy, who were independently monitoring the same address while C.A.S.T. detectives were conducting their surveillance operation.
The two patrol officers were aware of neighborhood complaints concerning the property but were not aware of the specific C.A.S.T. operation underway. They proactively continued monitoring the address and later assisted detectives with the arrests.
The coordinated effort also drew a positive response from residents. According to police, neighbors came outside during the operation and expressed their appreciation for the visible police presence and enforcement activity.
The department said the incident demonstrates the impact of proactive policing and cooperation between residents and law enforcement.
“Residents raised a concern, our officers took it seriously, and multiple units worked together to address it quickly,” the department said.
Police characterized the operation as a focused effort to improve neighborhood safety and quality of life, resulting in five arrests in less than 24 hours following residents’ complaints.
