Earlier this evening, Somerset Police Officers responded to a medical emergency at the Riverview Inn & Suites on Wilbur Avenue.
Upon entering a motel room, officers discovered three individuals suffering from serious apparent stab wounds. After securing the scene, Somerset Fire Department paramedics provided emergency medical care. The victims were transported to area trauma centers by Somerset and Swansea rescue personnel.
Somerset Detectives responded to investigate the incident and process the crime scene.
Chief William Tedford stated that the incident was isolated to a single room at the motel, and there is no reason for the general public to be concerned at this time.
The investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
